Serving Principles For All Services:
Please attend to the services with these few principles in view. This list is in no way meant to be all-inclusive yet a guide to re-visit often along with the burdens of the groups.
Touching the Lord as life for every service - All the fellowship should be an issue of being in the mingled spirit together under the covering and supply of the Lord.
Learn to fellowship not merely coordinate. This includes the killing of the cross to our opinions, concepts, natural abilities, temperament, disposition, ambition, pride and causes everyone to enter into and remain in the grace of Christ as the Life-giving Spirit in resurrection.
Take care of the practical things according to service group fellowship. This will strengthen and guard the fellowship.
New ones should be shepherded to learn to enter into what already is built-up within the service group and the existing saints should learn how to open up to the new ones. Help the new ones into the burdens and life supply in the service prior to having them take over practical items.
After years of serving there should be much thankfulness to the Lord for the privilege to serve and enjoy Him throughout those years. Serving ones and the saints around should see the growth in life and increase in function over time.
If you find yourself merely “doing things” or “getting a job done” or “hoping it will be over soon” or “we need new saints because I’m tired”, realize these indicate you may be serving in your self without a supply of grace. PLEASE do not remain there – turn to the Lord, repent, confess, thank the Lord for His mercy on you to be in such a service - gain Him and go on.
If matters require more fellowship or input from other service groups, please fellowship with the leading brothers and the other service groups.
When in doubt how to proceed – PRAY, and wait on the Lord. The slow way may be the fast way. For the services and practical things within the church, we could simply hire someone to do the work however; we chose to use these items as a practical way to be built-up with one another, to shepherd and teach new ones and to allow the Lord to head us up in Him for the building up of the Body of Christ.
